With a rich history at Goodyear, Jim has held key roles as Associate General Counsel for both Latin America and Asia Pacific, where he led regional legal teams and provided crucial legal and compliance guidance to senior management. Known for his creative and practical approach, Jim has navigated complex U.S. and international legal matters, including commercial transactions, litigation, and compliance issues.
Jim’s diverse background includes serving as General Counsel & VP of Business Development for Transtar Industries, where he played a pivotal role in the company’s private equity sale. A native Clevelander, Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wittenberg University and earned his Juris Doctor cum laude from Cleveland State University College of Law. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Senior Executive Leadership program from Stanford Law School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Jim’s hands-on, global experience and proven track record in corporate governance make him a trusted advisor in complex legal and business matters.

Since joining KC Law in January 2019, Brenda Kirkbride has been an invaluable part of the team, serving as our dedicated Accounting Manager. Brenda excels at managing financial operations, overseeing daily cash transactions, and ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
